Last week we were given the opportunity at Beautiful Gate to celebrate God’s redemptive plan. Adoption days are reflections of God’s truth found in Ephesians 1:4-5, “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will.” The apostle Paul knew that we are God’s children, chosen to be His by Him. Whenever we celebrate an adoption at Beautiful Gate, we celebrate God’s plan for us. It is such an amazing time.
Each adoption is a big celebration, but last week when we were given the opportunity to celebrate the adoption of two girls into the Geurink family it was even more special. Bryan and Anita, co directors of Beautiful Gate, grew their family from five to seven. Even though the girls have been with them for a month, the celebration was our way to bless the whole family and pray God’s promises over them.
